Tools and experiments around Georgian language infrastructure.

eng.ge is more than a public dictionary page. It is gradually becoming a small ecosystem for terminology, contributions, translation memories, browser lookup, and Georgian localization workflows.

Project Map

These projects share the same practical goal: make English-Georgian language work easier to search, review, reuse, and improve over time.

Public resource

English-Georgian Terminological Dictionary

The main searchable dictionary with specialized terminology, definitions, usage notes, contribution paths, corrections, and ongoing data cleanup.

Browser tool

eng.ge Mini Dictionary extension

A browser extension for quick lookup, selected-text search, contribution forms, and trusted-editor actions without leaving the page you are reading.

Localization

Translation-management workspace

A local TMS-style environment for XLIFF, PO, JSON, glossary work, translation memory, repetition handling, comments, workflow statuses, and QA.

Terminology

Glossary and contribution workflow

Submission, correction, moderation, project glossary, and trusted-editor workflows that help transform community input into structured dictionary data.

Planned Improvements

These areas are natural next steps as the project matures:

  • Cleaner public documentation for contributors, editors, and professional users.
  • More transparent source notes, domain labels, and review status for dictionary entries.
  • A stronger Georgian interface and a smoother localization pipeline for all public pages.
  • Better project pages for the extension, TMS, terminology workflows, and open data experiments.
  • More reusable exports for translators, localization teams, and terminology managers.

A Note on Project Status

Some parts are public and usable now, while others are internal, experimental, or still being polished. This page is intentionally written as an editable overview so it can grow with the actual work.
